Qi Gong is a gentle, therapeutic exercise that coordinates breathing techniques with each movement. It is both curative and preventive and it is based on the ancient system of acupuncture meridians. The purpose of these exercises is to prevent or dissolve blockages of energy, stimulate the circulation, and correct imbalances by bringing harmony to the energies of the internal organs in such a way as to protect the body from attack by external factors (viruses, cold, heat, humidity) as well as internal factors such as negative emotions. Qi Gong can be safely performed by any age group and/or physical ability/disability. Wear comfortable clothes and cotton shoes, or shoes without rubber or plastic, as these materials do not allow for the passage of negative ions. Limit 30 students. No class Apr. 21.
