Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning Technicians (HVAC) are in high demand! Maine citizens who are unemployed or under-employed may qualify for a no-cost HVAC training program being offered through the Augusta, Skowhegan and Lewiston CareerCenters in partnership with MTec and Mid-Maine Regional Adult Community Education. These type of jobs start at $15 or more per hour with excellent benefit packages.

Preferred candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, mechanical aptitude, have a “clean” drivers license, can lift 50 lbs, can perform tasks physical in nature and have good customer service skills.  

All may apply, however, individuals ages 18-24 are encouraged. 

Successful candidates will be required to:

  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Pass a pre-employment physical examination that includes a drug and alcohol test
