Empty Bowls Community Pottery Project*

with Sherrie Corbet Mather

$30

In this class you will learn to make and glaze slab bowls. Two bowls will contribute to the supply of bowls for the Empty Bowls Dinner here at Messalonskee High School on March 7 that will help support the Food Pantries in our RSU 18 towns. The other two bowls you may take home to use as gifts or decorations. Dress in work clothes. There is a $15 materials fee, which covers the cost of the clay, glaze, and firing of your two bowls and is due at the beginning of the first class. The instructor would like to encourage families to join. Young people must be 8 to 17 years old to register and must be accompanied by a paying participating parent or guardian. Limit 12 adult students and 4 young people who are 8 and up. Pottery Pickup: will be Feb 27 from 5:30-6:00 p.m. If we need this as a storm make up, you will be notified by the Adult Ed office when you will be able to pick up your pottery at the office.
