My Money Works via Zoom*

This interactive class, taught via Zoom, can help you gain the skills and confidence you need to stretch your money, pay your bills, reduce debt, find money for savings, plan for retirement, and set personal financial goals. At the end of the class you will have a plan to achieve greater financial stability. A follow up session is also offered to provide additional networking and support. Successful completion of this class meets one of the requirements for the Family Development Account (FDA) and Rainy Day Savings (RDS) matched saving programs. Graduates of My Money Works are eligible to apply for the GEN Scholarship to be used at any of the University of Maine System campuses, Maine Community Colleges, or the University of New England. There will be a makeup class held on Thurs, Nov. 7. Limit 20 students.

This class, taught via Zoom, will explore all of the things you need to know to take successful images after sunset and before sunrise. This session reviews exposure, how to shoot images in the dark—including the Milky Way and Aurora—and how to capture your best photo under moonlight. We will review equipment helpful for nighttime photography, including using a cell phone. 

Gentle Yoga via Zoom*

with Audrey McGee, Resilient Embodiment Yoga

This online class will be a gentle yoga practice, performed at a slower pace, with forms that are adaptable to all body shapes and abilities. A strong emphasis will be placed on stretching, with some seated forms and low impact movements. We will practice some meditation, breath work, and relaxation techniques. A great class for beginners with all levels of yoga experience welcome.

Live via Zoom, recording will be provided for up to a week if you need to miss.

There will be no class on Monday, Nov. 11 due to the holiday. 

Instant Guitar for Hopelessly Busy People: Online

In just a few hours you can learn enough about playing the guitar to give you years of musical enjoyment, and you won’t have to take private lessons to do it. This crash course will teach you some basic chords and get you playing along with your favorite songs right away. Registration fee includes the online book, online follow up lessons, a recording of the class and also an optional periodic question and answer session. Class is held online using zoom and is partly hands on instruction and partly lecture/demonstration. For ages 13+.
