This introductory guitar course is designed for beginners interested in learning how to play the guitar. We will cover guitar maintenance, string sizes, changing strings, choosing the proper guitar and care of the guitar. We will cover sight-reading, music theory, scales, and note values. We will also incorporate guitar processors and signal boxes, if you bring them, and learn how to set up amps. When you finish this course you should be able to pick up sheet music and know key, melody, chords, and changes. You will need to bring a guitar and the instructor will bring books, which you must purchase before the start of the first class - cost TBA - about $8. You will also need a 3-ring binder for your homework. The instructor welcomes students ages 10 and up. Parent or guardian must register and participate in the class with students under 17. No class on Oct. 31. Limit 10 students.

We’ve been moving to the music since the beginning of time. Line dancing is one great way to keep the beat. No partner required. From beginners up to intermediate line dance steps look complicated, but they’re really easy to master. It is great exercise too. You’ll be strutting your stuff in no time at all. Join us for a fun night out. Wear comfortable clean sneakers that slide. Make up session is Nov. 7, if needed. Limit 25 students
