We will find out how different organisms work together and how living things are organized and reproduce. We will also study viruses and how they can affect plants. At the end of the course, we will travel to a local greenhouse and see how Biology is related to plants and how they grow and thrive. (Each student will take home plants from the greenhouse.) Students will end the course with a knowledge of the basic fundamentals of biology

Power Point: In this presentation software program you will learn to cut, copy and paste, along with learning about different fonts to create slide shows. You will learn to import from other files like Word, Excel, and the Internet and learn about compatibility with other MS Office Suite products.

Microsoft Publisher: The Publisher program is designed to aid you in designing your own calendars, cards, and invitations, to name only a few of the many ways to use this program.

Students need to bring a thumb drive to class. Limit 12 students.

Learn the basics of MS Word. Users will learn how to cut, copy, paste and become familiar with fonts, formatting text, bullets, page layouts, mailings, views, header and footer, tables, text boxes, pictures and more! We will create letterheads, business letters, and reports. Students will need to bring a thumb drive to class. No class Apr. 17.  Limit 12 students.

ODYSSEYWARE science courses are designed for all levels and topics of interest in science. You will work independently toward your science credit with the help of a science instructor. Most labs and activities are done on-line, but lab materials are available for the hands-on experience if desired. You must finish an ODYSSEYWARE course within the academic year it is started and students may earn a maximum of four credits through ODYSSEYWARE. No student limit. No class Feb. 21, and Apr. 18.

ODYSSEYWARE offers you the opportunity to earn credits toward your high school diploma and enables you to work at your own pace with the assistance of our certified instructor. Topics include English, math, social studies and electives. In addition, you may use this web-based program to prepare for college level courses and the HiSETTM exam. You must finish an ODYSSEYWARE course within the academic year it is started and students may earn a maximum of four credits through ODYSSEYWARE. No student limit. No class during the weeks of Feb. 19 - 23, and Apr. 16 - 20.
