Come learn more about both the artistic side--including composition and design--and the technical, such as aperture, shutter speed, loss and non-loss files, downloading to electronic formats, simple editing, and more. We will be outdoors shooting as daylight and weather permit! You MUST bring your camera, manual, CHARGED batteries, and ALL cords to each class. Optional extras: If you have a laptop and/ or card reader please bring them. Interested students 13-17 may register with a registering and participating parent or guardian. Limit 4 students.

Do you know someone in the community who is not a native English speaker? Would they like some help to learn how to talk with their child’s teacher, make an appointment with a doctor, identify some of the things in the grocery store, or gain language skills necessary to find and hold a job? Please welcome them to our community and help them to get in contact with us and we will provide English language classes. Students can enter the class at any time and there is no charge for instruction. Learners at all levels of English proficiency (Beginner through Advanced) are welcome. Fresh Cheese Making Messalonskee W18

In this class students will learn the hands-on-process of making fresh cheese - including yogurt, ricotta, paneer, mozzarella, and queso rexo (buttermilk cheese). A $10 material fee is payable to instructor at start of class. Students will need to bring tight plastic containers to take some cheese home. Limit 10 students.

You will meet with admissions personnel and learn about programs and requirements, peer mentors, and financial aid as well as touring the facility. This tour could be the beginning of understanding how to access and feel at ease with a college campus. Colleges may include, but are not limited to: Kennebec Valley Community College, Thomas College, University of Maine at Augusta, and Unity College.

Power Point: In this presentation software program you will learn to cut, copy and paste, along with learning about different fonts to create slide shows. You will learn to import from other files like Word, Excel, and the Internet and learn about compatibility with other MS Office Suite products.
Microsoft Publisher: The Publisher program is designed to aid you in designing your own calendars, cards, and invitations, to name only a few of the many ways to use this program.
Students need to bring a thumb drive to class. Limit 12 students.
