“The world is full of magical things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper.” (W.B. Yeats) All around us is the wider world – nature - that often goes unseen and unheard. Awaken your curiosity and come explore your journey in nature through art and words. Using cloth-bound journals and a variety of media and subjects, focused on both the biological and artistic sides, you will create beauty as seen through your eyes. Various found objects - and please bring your own finds - will be used for contour drawing, cyanotypes, marbleizing, prints, sketches, poems, and other media. Plan to venture outdoors for a portion of the time, as weather permits. Ages 17 and up are welcome. Please register by April 24. A $15 material fee is payable to the instructor at the start of class.
