This five hour program covers accident prevention for drivers of all ages and is cosponsored by the Maine Department of Public Safety. Those completing the course will receive a three point credit on their driving record. Pre-registration is required. Self-Supporting Fee: $41; age 65 and over, $26

Microsoft Power Point: In this presentation software program you will learn to cut, copy and paste, along with learning about different fonts to create slide shows. You will learn to import from other files like Word, Excel, and the Internet and learn about compatibility with other MS Office Suite products. Microsoft Publisher: The Publisher program is designed to aid you in designing your own calendars, cards, and invitations, to name only a few of the many ways to use this program. Students need to bring a thumb drive to class. Limit 12 students.

Substitute Teacher Training November F18

Substitute teaching in the public schools can be very rewarding as well as very challenging. In this workshop an experienced and well-respected local substitute teacher will share his knowledge and strategies with those who want to find success as a substitute teacher. Topics will include classroom and behavior management, the substitute survival pack, resources and expectations from local schools, helpful hints to keep any classroom on track, and information about staff conduct, affirmative action and harassment policies. Persons who successfully complete this two-hour workshop will receive a certificate that will be acknowledged by local schools as part of the application packet. Limit 10 students.

The Law of Attraction and Vision Boards F18

We are all susceptible to the laws which govern the Universe, including the Law of Attraction, which is the ability to attract into our lives whatever we are focusing on to materialize it into reality. This workshop explores blocks and self-sabotaging patterns and beliefs that may be preventing you from manifesting your heart’s desires. Each person will leave with a vision board to help them continue working with the Law of Attraction. This is a great way to start the new year! An $8 materials fee is payable to the instructor at the start of class. Storm date of Dec. 19. Limit 20 students.
