<p>This 45 hour course, designed with University of Maine at Augusta and Kennebec Valley Community College, will assist students to develop the skills necessary to be successful in college.&nbsp; In this course, you will be provided an opportunity to experience college expectations and routines, such as choosing classes and participating in online class exercises. Students will be exposed to a variety of expert speakers to gain the tools necessary to be confident and successful in college from beginning to graduation day and beyond. The class will cover topics such as college applications, FAFSA &amp; financial aid, scholarships, loans and grants, accessing resources, study skills, time management, and more in a safe, non-judgmental atmosphere. At the end of the course, all students will have completed the application process to their chosen school and all financial aid documentation needed for enrollment in a positive, supportive environment. Upon successful completion, students may be eligible for college credits and/or scholarship opportunities.&nbsp; (3 UMA credits/1 KVCC credit)</p>
